A Moveable Marriage: Relocate Your Relationship without Breaking It
Canadian journalist Robin Pascoe put her own journalistic career on hold to join her diplomat spouse on what would become more than a twenty-year voyage across continents, time zones, and cultures. She offers an irreverent, quirky, and just plain hilarious look at modern-day marriage and at the quagmires and pitfalls that lie ahead when you and your marriage hit the road.

I can’t remember who told me to read this book but after our fifth move to another new international assignment, I would preempt the startup conversations with this witty statement.
“Hi, I’m Julia and I am happily following Kevin around the world because I read Robin Pascoe’s work, don’t you find it fabulous?”
I have been lucky to be associated with a husband who has a lot of company support for the spouse but I could real ate to the stories that Robin told. It is often the invisible things we have to do that causes us the most stress. Robin puts us in situations that we can laugh about and smile. Sometimes when you are in thankless role, it is good to smile. If you are a new international transfer or a seasoned relocated, pick up this book and get a new perspective on the joys of living a global lifestyle. It is delightful from front cover to back cover.
