Last month author and publisher Jo Parfitt chatted to Maryam Afnan Ahmad, Cherie Emigh, Ulrike Gemmer, Bárbara Menezes, Kathryn Tonges and Lucinda Willshire, authors of Slurping Soup and Other Confusions (Summertime Publishing 2012), a collection of 23 real-life stories from third culture kids.

Discussing her decision to publish the book, Jo says: “There is such a need for a book like this and Slurping Soup is tremendous fun – even for a grown-up.”

In the interview, the authors discuss why they wrote the book, who their audience is, how they managed to collaborate despite being in different countries (Australia, Brazil, US East and West Coast, China) and how they’ve gone about promoting it.

Slurping Soup and Other Confusions is aimed at 3 to 12 year old global nomads and includes fun activities within the book. Read more about the book here.
