Thanks to the rapid rise of TikTok and Clubhouse, as well as new features on existing platforms like Instagram and Twitter, we often hear from authors wondering how many social media platforms they should be using — and who feel like they can’t keep up. But authors don’t need a presence on every social media platform. In fact, many authors choose one to three platforms on which to focus and grow a following, rather than spreading themselves too thinly across a half-dozen or more social media channels.
